Marketing support that flexes with your business.
Not the same six deliverables every month, whether you need them or not.
Monthly Marketing Retainer
Marketing needs to flex. So why buy it in a box?
You finally get your website how you want it. Your emails start landing. You allow yourself a small, smug moment…
Then - a launch appears on the horizon. A new offer that needs positioning. A podcast episode begging to be repurposed. A sales page that's frankly not pulling its weight.
Suddenly "12 social posts and a blog" is nowhere near what you actually need.
Introducing 🥁 marketing dept
Maybe you hired a social media manager, but they do socials. The SEO, emails, launches, website copy? Still you.
Maybe you got a VA, but they wait for you to tell them what to do. So you're still running marketing, just with extra delegating on top.
Every growing business eventually needs an actual marketing department. Yours already exists. It's just one very tired person holding all the strings. Hi. It's you.
This is that department. A full team across strategy, copy, design, SEO and video, and more. 10 or 20 hours a month, pointed at whatever matters most.
How marketing dept works
We chat
Monthly strategy call. We go through what's happening in your business and agree the priorities that'll actually move the needle.
We crack on
The team creates all the deliverables needed - copy, design, SEO, video, whatever the month calls for.
We do it again
New month, new priorities. Your marketing never gets stuck doing last month's job.
A rough idea of what we can cover
Every month's different, so this isn't a fixed list - but to give you a feel, your hours could go toward:
✓ A launch email sequence
✓ A sales page (or a brutal audit of the one you've got)
✓ A lead magnet or resource
✓ A batch of social graphics and captions
✓ Video editing - reels, promos, repurposed long-form
✓ Repurposing from your podcast, YouTube or Substack
✓ An SEO clean-up
✓ Or literally anything else marketing-shaped we agree on

Why marketing dept
-
We're a handful of specialist business owners, not a massive agency full of interns. The right expert on each job, whether that's copy, design, SEO or video. You deal with me only: one point of contact, one invoice. I coordinate the rest.
-
No junior account manager reading off a script. You get me (Aysha), an actual marketing lead running your marketing, who still very much gets her hands dirty. I see how the whole machine fits together, so nothing happens in isolation.
-
New priorities every month, so your marketing keeps up with your business instead of doing last month's job.
-
Everything is backed by data. 12 years in finance means I can steer you on where your budget's genuinely best spent - and I'm exceptionally good at reading the numbers. Back in the day, I helped companies make LITERAL MILLIONS off data alone.
I can’t believe they said that
Frequently Asked Questions

We’ll have a monthly strategy call, minimum one hour. That call is the backbone of the whole thing. It does come out of your allocated time, but it's far from a wasted hour. We come out of it with a plan for the month (and usually a bunch of new ideas). Clients often want more than an hour because we get so much done in them.
The rest of your time goes wherever we've agreed it matters most: social, SEO, web copy, emails - whatever the month calls for. -
We agree this each month. Got a hard deadline like a launch date or an event? Tell us upfront and we plan around it. Otherwise you're allocated a block of time across the month that we set together, and work lands within it.
-
Less than you'd think, but not nothing.
The minimum is one hour a month for our strategy call. If we're deep in something meatier, like a launch, we might add a second call. Depends what we're working on.
Beyond that, we'll ask you questions from time to time. Nobody knows your business like you do - your perspective, your experience, the stuff in your head no one else has.
If this marketing's going to actually work, we need to tap into that. So it's collaborative. Not a hand-it-over-and-vanish situation, and it's better for it.
-
Yep. They just come out of your monthly time allocation - which is fair given the price point.
In practice, nobody's ever needed major reworks. Light tweaks are quick and barely touch your hours. -
No, unused hours don't carry into the next month.
This is why the strategy call matters so much. We use it to work out what you actually need, and if it looks like we won't fill the time, that's our cue to brainstorm something useful to point it at.
Your reserved time is reserved for you - we'd rather spend it well than let it sit. -
There's an initial three-month commitment. Marketing needs some time to prove its worth. After that it's month-to-month and you can cancel whenever. We just ask for 30 days' written notice.
Stop being your own marketing department.
Get a whole team, focused on whatever matters most, month after month. One VA could never!
